We recently spent 3 nights at Chez Robert, a quaint, tastefully renovated farmhouse. The room was clean, comfortable, and so quiet. Breakfasts were a highlight, as much for the conversation with our hosts as for the food (fruit salad or smoothies, eggs from their own chickens, homemade muffins and jams, baked goods and bread from the bakery across the road, and excellent coffee). Odette and Robert were warm and welcoming and had so many great suggestions of things to do and see (with bicycling routes perfectly adapted to our level) . We wished we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend Chez Robert.

Lovely hosts, open, welcoming. The latte coffee, the varied breakfasts prepared nicely with fresh eggs and tasty fresh fruit salads and what about the cottage! An ancestral house maintained with love on a field where chickens come to greet you. Nice place! As a bonus, our hosts, one English speaking, the other French speaking and both can converse in one or the other language. Happy! the width of the steps, but that's not a fault, it's an old house issue.

Very peaceful, natural, green surroundings, perfect for relaxing and recharging one's batteries, delightful breakfasts (crepes or very fresh eggs from own free range chickens), easy proximimity to explore all local attractions and quaint little towns and villages of the L'Estrie. Not to mention the very hospitable and friendly Odette and Robert who speak multiple languages (French, English, German, Dutch amongst them), and know a lot about the area. My sister and I have just spent 7 days at L'Echappee Belle and have every intention to return there next year. This time with electric bikes. Anna & Justyna

Robert and Odette are here to make you feel like home, and make you enjoy their Hometown. They prepped the room for you to feel warm, they make you breakfast with local products to let you have a good start of day, they make sure you have everything you need. Quiet area, not meant to party or stay up late.

Stayed two nights in August and as others have noted Robert and Odette are very warm, welcoming hosts and make you feel at home instantly. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The property provides a charming, authentic, and tranquil rural experience. Breakfast was excellent, highlighted by local-baked breads, eggs from hens raised on the property, and amazing lattes. Chez Robert was a perfect place to stay while exploring the area and added greatly to our “on vacation” vibe. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Roberto’s place was the perfect spot for me en route from Lake George to Quebec City. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard such quiet as I did in this charming country home. It was so very restful. Breakfast the next morning was spectacular! Not only was the food fantastic, but I was offered not one but two literal bowls of latte! 💯 recommend!

Location was ideal since we were in Austin for a wedding at Grange Manson next door.

A stunning location with breathtaking views on the country side - spectacular sunsets.

We spent three days chez Robert. This "Auberge Espagnole"-style trip had a mix of socializing, relaxing and adventure. Breakfasts included hardboiled eggs, yogurt, fresh bread and croissants, fresh fruitsalad made by Audette, lattes, orange juice and a breathtaking view.

Robert and his girlfriend Audette were extremely knowledgeable about the local area and recommended some great hikes/restaurants. I brought my guitar so Robert suggested we do a campfire. We walked 3 minutes to the local depaneur to get sausages and veggies to cook on the open fire - delish!

We had a wonderful time at Robert's chalet, the location was gorgeous with perfect sunset views. The area is very peaceful and facing a charming white bakery. Très champêtre et romantique expérience. J’ai beaucoup aimé mon séjour dans cette maison ancestrale. L’endroit est très paisible à deux pas de l’abbaye. C’est assez isolé comme endroit alors si vous cherchez l’accès au restaurants et magasin il faut compter environ 20 minutes d’auto mais si vous désirez être tranquille et près de la nature c’est l’idéal (et c’est exactement ce que je cherchais). Séjour inoubliable! Accueil chaleureux, déjeuners délicieux et santé, très bien situé, tranquillité des lieux surtout le soir, etc. Correspond en tout points à l'annonce. Robert, l'hôte, est présent au besoin et répond aux questions des voyageurs : demandes de suggestions pour des activités, des visites, l'historie des lieux, etc. Mémorable!

L'endroit est merveilleux, calme, à 2 pas de l'Abbaye de St-Benoit, proche du lac Memphrémagog et de Magog; on peut s'y reposer sur les adirondacks et admirer le paysage. La bâtisse est charmante et ancestrale, très bien entretenue, les chambres sont propres et confortables. L'hôte, Robert, est accueillant, serviable et attentionné, il nous fait sentir comme chez nous et n'hésite pas à nous conseiller sur les choses à faire dans le coin (randonnées, vélo, accès au lac, etc..). Le petit déjeuner, servi dans la véranda ou dans la salle à manger, est généreux et varié : pain et croissants frais de la boulangerie d'en face, yogourt, confitures, œufs frais, céréales, café. C'est vraiment une petite merveille ce B&B.

Great little room in an bed and breakfast. The town itself is really quiet and not much got on there but it's 15-20min drive to a lot of different locations. The feeling was more Airbnb than Bed and Breakfast for us but we had a good stay.

Nous avons passé une nuit très agréable dans le BnB de Robert. Idéalement placée près de l'abbaye de St Benoît, de Magog et de Owl's Head, la maison est au coeur de l'estrie. À l'intérieur, la décoration est soignée dans un style champêtre. This historic B&B was a treat, and the pastoral setting and beautifully arrayed linens in the room surpassed expectations. Robert was an especially friendly host who made me feel welcome and at home. The Merlebleu room was pleasingly sunny with sunset views and its own bathroom.

My tour of the active Benedictine monastery down the street was fascinating, beautiful, and worth my time, and I would have to return to the area many times to experience the myriad other activities available in the region, such as hiking, wine tasting, and touring all the townships.

I highly recommend this B&B and Robert's thoughtful hosting!
