Helpful hints

Dear guests,

Hello and welcome to our home!  We’re so happy you chose our property for your vacation.  Before you settle in and get comfortable, we would like to make you aware of the house rules in place and some things you can do to get comfortable.

Please ensure you read and fully understand the house rules at the beginning of your stay. If anything is unclear, please contact us so we can explain in further detail to avoid any misunderstandings.

Please treat our home with the same respect as you would your own home.

We are a non-pet house, and do our best to keep the air clean for those with allergies.

Breakfast is served in a continental format.  It can be helpful to give us an idea of what hour you typically are thinking of getting up. Enjoy the table or lounge chairs (inside or outside) that make you feel best.

All the original plank floors have been re-finished.  We ask that wet and dirty shoes be left at the front entry.

All bedrooms are located on the second floor. Please be careful when coming down the narrow steps.

Our house water is from a well and the house waste goes into a septic system. Please use water sparingly, particularly in the summer.

We do our best to be environmentally sensitive. Once the vegetables are up, and the berry bushes full, pick and enjoy from our organic garden. And we do our best to re-cycle.

No smoking or vaping.

We can allow for some storage space for picnic items. If you need the odd thing in the kitchen let us know or hunt it out. Don’t hesitate to use the electric kettle and make yourself a late tea.

Always feel free to ask if you have questions.
