Amenities
our home, your stay
Our historic home was one of the first farmsteads in the region, and housed many of the workers during the building of the Abbey St. Benoit-du-Lac. Feel the craft of artisanal post and beam construction, amongst other period features, which have been handsomely preserved and high-lighted. All three bedrooms have their own 3-piece bath, and are well appointed. A continental breakfast will be provided for you in the first floor dining room. A sunroom with table, sofa and other seating adjoin the dining room with views to the south and west. Enjoy your morning beverage and breakfast in either room, or if preferred, settle in a garden chair with the morning sun. Feel at home.

Our Property and neighbours
Nestled in the four corners of central Austin, our home is a stone’s throw to the original white boarded church, the grocery corner store with gas station and the historic Manson Barn. The finest croissants and breads are baked at the bakery Les herbes hautes across the street. The abbey St. Benoit-du-Lac, our nearest neighbour to the south, is just a short walk past fields and forest. The abbeys’ bells will mark your day if visiting, or as you relax in our gardens. Built on a rise with far-reaching views of fields, forests, and mountains including Owl’s Head and Sutton, l’Échappée belle chez robert brings pause for reflection. The horizon provides some of the most spectacular sunsets in the region.
